An eventful day x 2!

The boys have been 2 for over a month, and I have always felt bad that I didn't write anything down in a scrapbook for them.  My sister and I were talking the other day about milestones, and I could not remember when Christian or Caleb got their first tooth, when they rolled, crawled or even who walked first....  But then I remembered I took pictures at all of those different stages and sporadically shared personal posts on my blog.  That is something I promised myself I would keep doing in hopes that one day I will print the memories into a book so we can look back on all of the crazy, yet amazing times.

Not sure where to start, but the boys have developed such unique personalities.  My mom said to me the other day "Together they think they can conquer the world".  Which is so true, they consistently play off of each other's strengths.  Caleb has turned into quite the talker, full sentences, repeating things (some things we would rather not)....but often times he will say "Christian said he wants milk mommy" or translate when we are trying to understand what Christian wants.  Christian is so strong and can get into anything.  He can open doors, climb anywhere and help Caleb join in on the fun whether it is getting into the pantry, their closet or even on our bed.  They both share a love for singing and dancing like their big sister Kyleigh and can often be found jumping around together...especially during the Mickey Mouse Hot Dog dance.  They love hugs, kisses, coloring and looking at pictures of their family.

They are doing great in school and we are so excited all 3 of our kids can attend at the same location.  Caleb knows all of his colors, shapes and can recognize and tell you all letters in the alphabet.  His memory is so good, just like his daddy (definitely didn't get from me).  Christian can swing a bat like no other and always wants to play baseball and build blocks!  Also, with Christian never wants to be left out.  He wants everything both Kyleigh and Caleb have (even if he has a matching item in his hand).  Even when Caleb falls or gets hurt.  Christian will pretend to fall just for hugs and kisses from us.

I'm not sure if they understood it was their birthday as they love singing the b-day song to everyone else, but we did have a special day planned for them.  The night before their birthday I bought 12 balloons to surprise them with in the morning.  I paid extra for special helium to last longer....but unfortunately all were found on the floor in the morning...oh well the boys were so excited to see them...it didn't matter.

A few weeks prior to their birthday, Kyleigh and I went to Toys R Us to pick out a tricycle for both of them.  We literally were there for about an hour figuring out the best one.  Kyleigh was so excited to give it to them she asked every day if we could surprise the boys early.  We got her to hold out until the morning of their special day, but that is the first thing she grabbed the moment they woke up!

Then it was Kyleigh's turn to give them her gift.  She used 2 of their shoe boxes and put her crayons in them.  I think the boys were more excited about this gift than the bikes....they colored all morning on our Sesame Street cards we got them.

Next it was time to get ready to head to the Sox game…typically that means we chase the boys around the house and they end up jumping on our bed before getting their outfits on.

And we are off to the game…..boys on our back and all!

Where here, time for some lunch followed by "happy birthday" lemon fluff cupcakes but and unlit candle as we forgot matches.

.....after that it was time to go to our seats where the boys had their name on the scoreboard (thanks to grandpa) and Caleb even got some game time coverage on TV with his cousin Michael!

Following the game, we played a little in the boys room and then headed out for a bike ride prior to bed.  The following day we kept the fun times rolling with a visit to the zoo!

We are so proud of our boys, they bring us so much joy every day and LOVE our party of 5.
