Halloween Round-Up

I love exploring imagination and creativity with Kyleigh, the opportunity to choose anything she wants to be in celebration of Halloween.  Three costume ideas made the list this year and anyone that has spent time with my daughter recently would not be surprised by her top picks 1) Katy Perry 2) Elsa 3) Tinker Bell.  In the end Tinker Bell won out when I told her the boys could be her pirates....a win for all of us!

The good news is that we found a TinkerBell outfit that we liked, but I was disappointed in the pirate options for the boys.  With that said, a combination of Hobby Lobby, Etsy and my Silhouette pulled the boys outfits together.

The pirate outfits were complete the week of Halloween, next up school favors for the parties on the 30th and 31st .  No sugar or preservatives are allowed …because of this rule, I always try to find something practical ~ that I would use, this year we opted cute finger paint bubbles which I though was perfect!  Additionally, the boys were able to join in on the fun this year as they now attend the Nursery Preschool.  It sounds like the favors were a hit, at least they are with my kids:-)

I took the day off to get the Kids ready for their school parties and parade.  So special to see Kyleigh and the boys with all of their classmates despite the cold.  Scott even got to partake as Christian hid behind us when the parade was over and we had to help get him back to class.

Next up painting the pumpkins before bed.  Kyleigh did great, but we had to take the paint away from the boys as they kept trying to eat it.

At last, halloween is here, the day for trick-or-treating.  Our Tinkerbell puts the finishing touches on her outfit and the cute flower clip we made together, also adding in a couple spins prior to heading out for treats.

Next, time to head out on the coldest halloween in 15 years.  Only to make it to about 5 houses until we decide to take it in and had out the candy instead (prior the boys take a few punches at the inflatable ghost that Uncle Tim got them)….

Last up a first try at candy prior to bed….until next year!
