8 months here we go!

I know I say this every month, but I REALLY can't believe the boys are 8 months already!  It has been so much fun this month to see their personalities shine.  Both of the boys are so happy and we are definitely blessed for that.  Also, while they have always interacted with each other or needed each others presence from day one (such as taking naps together)....this month marks something new for them both, playing together.  This began by Caleb putting his finger in Christian's mouth and both of them giggled along as they thought this was the best things ever.

Christian is all over the place, and so the childproofing has started.  He is trying so hard to crawl and rarely stays sitting as he is realizing that getting around a room can be done by rolling all over the place.  He loves clapping when anyone says 'yeah' and hi-fives thanks to daddy.  Dada is his main word, but he says Mom (usually accompanied by tears) when he needs something from me like a cuddle or a bottle.  His favorite toy is a hand-me-down from Kyleigh, her stackable buckets, he loves banging them together.  Bath time is simply the best as well as baby food as he is loving fruit and veggies!  The teeth are coming all at once....in addition to the two bottom teeth, we have the 3 coming in on the top....his right front tooth (not the left yet) and the two teeth on the side.  And the biggest highlight of all is that 8 months marks the first time Christian slept through the night in his crib!

Caleb is our little jumping bean.  He remains stationary for the most part, but every once in awhile will roll on his back and kick his arms and feel up uncontrollably while giggling and having a blast.  Dada is his main word but Mama comes out every once in awhile.  His new trick this month is shaking his head no....while we think it is cute now we may have a different feeling in the months to come.  His favorite toy is another hand me down from Kyleigh, a stationary toy car where he can sit and pretend he is driving....he is actually pretty good at it and seems to know how to turn the wheel and honk the horn.  Caleb also loves bath time and food time....I think he likes his veggies and fruits much more than his bottles, and he still has a hard time waiting his turn in-between bites when I feed them both at the same time.  And as for teeth, it was so cute, his front teeth cut on Christmas....we will always remember that "all Caleb wanted for Christmas was his two front teeth".

All in all, fun times for all.....Kyleigh is still waiting for them to get big enough to play hide and seek....until then, it is mommy and daddy's game with her:-)
